Novi Vinodolski is one of the most charming places of Croatia, situated in the Kvarner bay. Novi Vinodolski doesn’t have an airport and there are no direct ferries to this town. Thus, you should better get to Novi Vinodolski by bus from Rijeka.
Numerous rules left traces of their existence in this area. The settlement called Novi was founded in the 13th century by the Frankopan family. The name Novi Vinodolski was given to the town only in 1953.
Tourist attractions. To make the most of your Novi Vinodolski travel visit the remains of the Roman fortress Lopsica, the ruins of the Pauline monastery, the Francopans citadel, the chapel of Holy Trinity and St. Martin, and the parish church of Sts. Festivals and cultural events. The greatest cultural event in the town is the Carnival (Mesopusni), which begins at the end of February.
